Here’s a photo to cheer one up on a snowy day. This is from one of my customers who received his kilt just after New year.

Managed to score another co-op student and he will be assisting me manufacturing belts as I’m way behind on sporran belts and kilt belts, aiming to have a good supply by the end of March.
Working on photo galleries this week so some customer photos will be displayed there if all goes well.
I’m told I have to get back to work so I will leave it off here.

I have a few leather kilts to make so today I purchased leather for these projects.
I’m rather excited about a new version of tanning that makes the cowhides feel like lambskin.
The hides I purchased today are stunning!!!!! As a result I will be making myself a new Mach V in black leather with a vest to match. A stealth kinda look.
On Wednesday it’s back to production of Black hemp. I have a number of customers jonesing for their kilts so my leather kilt will have to wait. See even I have to wait for a new kilt.

Wonderful day today. Finished another Black Hemp and delivered, and it came with another order for a leather kilt. I kinda like that….
More inputting done today on the shopping cart. Who knew there could be so many variables especially with the sporrans and leather combinations. There will be a series of drop down menus when you choose a two tone so you can custom order the base colour and accent colour.
When you order a kilt you can choose the strap colour and the hardware so not only will you get a made to order kilt but you can choose the colour of the accessories.
I will be carrying over the deal when you order a kilt and a Ranger belt together you receive an $11 discount on the belt.
I have a conference in Toronto this weekend so the shop will be closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday Feb. 21-23.

A few hic-cups in setting up shipping with Canada post, but that seems to be resolved. Jessie has been inputting product for the online shopping cart and that is progressing well.
I had a bit of a slow day as I was up too late last night and lacking a bit of energy.
Installed shelving in the shop and some of the clutter is being organized. Thanks Ken for cutting the groove board.
I see we are getting a few hits on the blog and we reached a half century on the Facebook Fan page.
I’m very pleased with the progress and we are aiming to make your visit to the RKilt shop a great experience.

The week is flying by. On Thursday I will be going back to black hemp. There is a bit of a backlog, however I prepped the pockets and belts as well as straps. The actual sewing and building progresses rather well and if I put in ten hour days I can produce very well and get the orders done in a timely fashion.
Lot of work has been accomplished behind the scenes on the website, with constructive advice from friends. A shopping cart will be in the realm of possibility shortly.
I haven’t had much chance to work on the forum. but it has been opened up and you are welcome to comment however you still have to register. Though you can read posts as a guest.
Of course you can comment on my ramblings on the blog as well.
