Happenings at the RKilts Atellier

March 13, 2010

Videos galore

Over the past few days, I’ve been taking videos with the macbook on the construction of a brown leather RKilt. I have a learning curve to deal with. Jessie and Michael have been guiding me but it’s something I will have to learn on my own sometime.
I was in the shop by 6:30 am to deal with the weekly paperwork. Started on an odd project, a felloww asked me if I could rebuild an accordian strap. I made a pattern and then set it aside. I thought the breakfast club was happening this morning but it was a no show, so went back to work on the leather kilt. Had my weekly skype call with Rocky of USA kilts. Compared notes and grumbles then back to work. Documented on video the progress. Later in the afternoon the transformer of the power supply on my mac died. I ordered a new one covered by warranty, talked to a lovely women in Texas, she might visit the website who knows.
I borrowed a power supply and quickly edited the videos and began the process to have them uploaded to the blog,
The kilt should be completed tomorrow and I will supply final photos.
Cheers.
The following video is me top stitching the pleats then laying it out on the table before stitching down the fell.
