'R' Kilts

does make a woman's model addressing the differences in the male and female shape.  photos

You have to provide accurate, facts or it won't fit and it won't be our fault (Harsh, but the truth from a woman's lips!)

Waist--------

As with the lads---

Oh where is that? Place your favourite pants at their favourite hang and run a tape measure (cloth only) through the belt loops (minus the belt).

This may mean hip slung or where your mother considers a waist to reside or wherever.

Just be clear, if you measure at your pelvis, it won't  fit above your navel.

If you are creative with the facts, the kilt won't fit and it won't be our fault.

If you suck it in it won't fit.

Hip-----

This would be the widest part of your of your bottom.

Tie a string or scarf around said, "widest bit", and measure with a cloth tape. Allow ease, instead of synching it, girls.

Length from waist to Hip (for girls) ----

Take your cloth tape measure and measure from the top of your waist band to the string around your widest bit. The side seam of your jeans is a good place to measure this.

Finished length of your kilt

How to measure

Traditional Kilt look

Kneel on the floor and get a bud to measure from the top of you pant waist to the floor at your side seam. No slumping or checking over your shoulder. It'll change how tall you are. Optimum length; the kilt breaks at the middle of the kneecap.

Mini or Hip-slung or some other length

Have a friend measure the desired finished length for you,

while you are standing up straight,

from the top of the the waistband to the desired break point

Please specify the intended hang of your garment ( examples: hip-slung mini or traditional natural waist)
